Location & approach

By Car

The campus of Ruhr University Bochum is located near the motorway junction Bochum/Witten, where the A43 connects with the A44. Take the exit Bochum-Querenburg / Universität (exit 19) and follow the signs to “Ruhr-Universität.” Continue on Universitätsstraße and take the turnoff “Uni Mitte” to reach the central campus area.

By Bus & Train

Travel by train to Bochum Central Station. From there, take the underground line U35 towards “Hustadt / Universität” and exit at the stop ‘Ruhr-Universität’. The U35 runs every 5 minutes on weekdays and takes about 9–10 minutes to the university. After exiting the station, cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the campus.

By Plane

The nearest major airport is Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). From the terminal, take the SkyTrain (about 5 minutes) to the airport railway station, then board a regional train (RE) to Bochum Central Station (approximately 30 minutes). From there, take the U35 underground line to “Ruhr-Universität” as described above.

Our advisory board

The Advisory Board of the UA Ruhr Liaison Office Eastern Europe/Central Asia (EECA) supports the strategic orientation and further development of cooperation in the region. It is made up of representatives from the three UA Ruhr universities as well as external experts with regional expertise. The Advisory Board advises the EECA on the planning of joint activities, evaluates new partnerships and promotes quality assurance in international cooperation. In this way, it makes a significant contribution to strengthening the position of the UA Ruhr in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the long term.
