Declaration on accessibility

The UA Ruhr aims to make its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with EU Directive 2016/2102. The following declaration on accessibility documents the implementation status for the website www.oeza.uaruhr.de in accordance with the Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-free Information Technology under the North Rhine-Westphalia Disability Equality Act.

Content that is not accessible

The content listed below is not accessible:

  • PDF documents embedded in the website
  • Videos embedded in the website do not have audio description.
  • The color tones currently used do not all achieve the required contrast with a browser zoom factor of 100 percent.
  • Individual terms from English or other foreign languages on the German version of the website. These terms may therefore be pronounced in German by the voice output.

Reasons:

  • It has not yet been possible to convert all the PDF documents provided into an accessible format. They will be successively adapted.
  • It has not yet been possible to provide the videos with an audio description.
  • It has not yet been possible to highlight individual English terms and other foreign-language terms in the German version of the website.

  • The contrast switch can be used to compensate for insufficient contrast in headings and in the navigation bar.

Enforcement procedure

If you have not received a satisfactory response to messages or inquiries about accessibility within six weeks, you can contact the ombudsman's office for accessible information technology. It is assigned to the representative for the interests of people with disabilities in accordance with Section 11 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons Act. If you would like an ombudsman procedure, you can fill out a corresponding application and send it to the ombudsman's office by e-mail.
